Delivery Zones
Delivery zones let you define which postcodes you service and automatically apply the right delivery fee when building a quote. This is useful for any catering business that charges differently based on how far the event is from your base.
Getting There
Navigate to Settings → Delivery Zones. You'll see a table listing all your current zones, or an empty state if none have been created yet.
Adding a Zone
- Click Add zone in the top-right corner of the card.
- Fill in the three fields that appear in the inline form:
- Zone name — a short, recognisable label (e.g. *Sydney CBD* or *Inner West*).
- Postcodes (comma-separated) — enter every postcode that belongs to this zone, separated by commas (e.g.
2000, 2010, 2011). Your business base postcode is shown below this field as a reference. - Delivery fee ($) — the flat fee to charge for deliveries into this zone (e.g.
15.00). Enter0if delivery is free.
- Click Save zone to confirm, or Cancel to discard.
You can also press Enter from the Zone name or Delivery fee field to save quickly.
Editing a Zone
Click the pencil icon on any row to load that zone back into the form. Make your changes and click Save zone.
> Only one zone can be open for editing at a time — the Add zone button and other row actions are disabled while a form is open.
Deleting a Zone
Click the delete icon on any row. A confirmation dialog will appear before anything is removed.
How Fees Work
Once a zone is saved, CaterCloud matches the delivery postcode on a quote against your zones and applies the corresponding fee automatically. Zones shown as (inactive) are dimmed in the list and will not be applied.

Tip: Make sure your postcodes don't overlap between zones — if a postcode could match more than one zone, review your zone names and boundaries to keep things tidy.
