Menus — Items, Packages & Pricing

The Menus section is your product catalogue in CaterCloud, giving you a centralised place to manage everything you serve and sell. It's designed for food truck operators, event caterers, and corporate caterers who want to build quotes faster and keep their offerings consistent.

Getting Started

Go to Menus from the main navigation. Here you'll see a list of all your current menu items, along with their status and pricing.

Adding a Menu Item

• Click Add Item to create a new menu item
• Fill in the Name, Description, and upload a Photo if needed
• Set the Price — choose either a Per Head rate or a Fixed Price per item
• Select any relevant Dietary Flags (such as vegan, gluten-free, or dairy-free)
• Toggle the item as Active or Inactive to control whether it appears when building quotes

Creating Packages or Set Meals

• Use the Packages section to group individual items into a bundle or set meal
• Give the package a name, description, and an overall price
• Add existing menu items to the package from your item library

Managing Active and Inactive Items

• Items marked Inactive won't appear as options when creating or editing a quote
• Use this to seasonally hide items without permanently deleting them

Using Menu Items in Quotes

When building a quote, go to the Quote Line Items section and select items directly from your menu. This pulls through the name, description, and pricing automatically, saving you time and reducing manual entry errors.
