Menus — Items, Packages & Pricing

The Menus section is where you build your full food and drink catalogue — individual items, bundled packages, and pricing — so your team can add them to quotes in seconds. It's used by food trucks, event caterers, and corporate caterers to keep offerings consistent and quotable.

Getting to Menus

Navigate to Menus in the main sidebar. The page shows all your menus organised in a grid, with an occasion filter to narrow down the view.

Creating a New Menu

  1. Click New menu (top right of the page).
  2. The menu wizard opens — work through each step to set up your menu's name, occasion type, and structure.
  3. Add individual items, setting details like name, description, and pricing as you go.
  4. Mark any relevant dietary flags on items so clients and staff can see at a glance what's suitable.
  5. Save when done — the menu appears in the grid immediately.

Importing a Menu via AI

If you have an existing menu in another format, click Import via AI to paste or upload your content. CaterCloud will read it and build out your items automatically — you can then review and adjust before saving.

Building Packages

Within a menu, you can group items into packages or combos — for example, a "Bronze Package" with a set number of courses at a fixed price. Packages let you quote a single line item rather than listing every dish individually.

Using Menus in Quotes

Once your menus are built, they're available to insert directly into any quote. Open a quote, select the menu or package you want, and the items and pricing pull through automatically — no re-typing required.

Filtering by Occasion

Use the occasion filter at the top of the Menus page to view menus by event type (weddings, corporate, etc.), keeping the grid manageable as your catalogue grows.
