Money — financial overview

Money: Financial Overview
The Money section is your all-in-one financial hub, giving catering businesses a clear picture of revenue, outstanding payments, and overall profitability. Whether you run a food truck, manage corporate events, or handle large-scale catering, this section keeps your finances organised in one place.
Getting There
Go to Money from the main navigation. The overview dashboard loads by default, showing a snapshot of your current financial position.
What You'll See on the Overview
- Total Revenue — your combined income across a selected period
- Outstanding Invoices — amounts still owed by clients
- Profitability Trends — a visual summary of how your business is performing over time
Filtering Your Data
Use the filter options at the top of the page to narrow down what you're viewing:
- Date Range — focus on a specific week, month, or custom period
- Event — see financials tied to a particular booking or event
- Client — review all financial activity for a specific client
Apply filters before diving into any sub-section to keep your data relevant and focused.
Sub-Sections
Each tab within Money covers a specific area of your finances:
- Quotes — create and send pricing to clients before a booking is confirmed
- Invoices — manage billing, record payments, and track what's outstanding
- P&L — review profit and loss broken down by event or time period
- Cashflow — compare incoming revenue against outgoing costs
- Wages — track staff pay associated with your events and bookings
Navigating Sub-Sections
Go to Money → Quotes, Money → Invoices, or any other sub-section using the tabs at the top of the Money page.

Tip: For a full breakdown of staff costs against event revenue, combine the Wages and P&L sub-sections to understand your true per-event profitability.
