Personal Preferences

Your personal preferences let you tailor how CaterCloud looks and behaves for your account — without affecting settings for other team members. These options are ideal for anyone who wants to match the app to their working style or regional defaults.

Getting There

Navigate to Settings → Preferences to open your personal preferences page.

What You Can Configure

Your preferences are seeded from your business's existing setup, so you'll start with sensible defaults for your region rather than generic placeholders. From this page you can adjust:

  • Timezone — Controls how dates and times are displayed throughout the app. If you work across time zones or your personal timezone differs from the business default, update this to match your location.
  • Currency — Sets the currency used when displaying figures in your view. This defaults to your business's configured currency but can be adjusted per user.

Saving Your Changes

  1. Go to Settings → Preferences.
  2. Review the current values for Timezone and Currency.
  3. Update any fields you'd like to change.
  4. Click Save (or your form's submit button) to apply the changes immediately.

Your preferences are tied to your user account, so they'll follow you across devices and sessions without affecting colleagues.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • These are per-user settings. Changing them here does not alter the business-wide defaults found elsewhere in Settings.
  • If you've never saved preferences before, the page pre-fills your Timezone and Currency from your business's account — a helpful starting point rather than a blank form.
  • If your displayed times or currency symbols look unexpected after saving, double-check that the correct Timezone is selected.

> Tip: If you need to update the timezone or currency for your whole business — not just your own view — ask your account owner to adjust those values in the main business settings.
