Recurring Orders & Storefronts

Recurring order templates let you set up repeat orders for regular clients — such as weekly corporate lunches or standing food-truck bookings — so you're not rebuilding the same order from scratch each time. This feature is useful for any catering operation with predictable, repeat business.

Finding Your Recurring Templates

Navigate to Orders → Recurring to see all existing recurring order templates. Click any template to open its detail page.

Editing Template Items

Each template stores a default list of line items that gets applied when a new order is generated.

  1. Open a template from Orders → Recurring.
  2. In the Template items card, click Edit.
  3. For each row, update the Quantity, Item name, and Unit price fields as needed.
  4. To add a new line, click + Add item.
  5. To remove a line, click the trash icon on that row.
  6. Click Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them.

Items with a blank name are automatically excluded when saving.

Pausing and Resuming a Template

If a client goes on hold or you need to temporarily stop generating orders from a template:

  1. Open the template from Orders → Recurring.
  2. Click Pause to stop the template from generating new orders.
  3. When you're ready to restart, click Resume.

The template remains in your list and all its settings are preserved while paused.

Deleting a Template

To permanently remove a recurring order template:

  1. Open the template from Orders → Recurring.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Confirm by clicking Yes, delete in the prompt, or click Keep to cancel.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, so pause the template first if you're unsure.

Recent Orders

The template detail page shows the five most recent orders generated from that template, so you can quickly check history without leaving the page.

Tip: After updating template items, check your most recent generated order to confirm the new line items are reflected correctly.
