Managing Stock Levels

The Stock page gives you a live view of every ingredient's quantity on hand, status, and reorder point — making it the go-to spot for anyone responsible for keeping your kitchen supplied.

Getting There

Navigate to Pantry → Stock to open the stock level dashboard.

Reading the Dashboard

At the top of the page, three summary tiles give you an at-a-glance count of:

  • Total ingredients tracked in your account
  • Low stock ingredients (highlighted in amber when any exist)
  • Out of stock ingredients (highlighted in red when any exist)

Below the tiles, the ingredient table shows each item's Status, On hand quantity, Reorder at point, Supplier, and Unit cost.

Filtering and Searching

  • Use the Search ingredients… box to find a specific item by name.
  • Use the filter tabs — All, Low stock, Out of stock, and In stock — to narrow the list to items that need attention.

Adjusting Stock Levels

To update the quantity on hand for an ingredient:

  1. Find the ingredient in the table (use search or a filter tab if needed).
  2. Click the action button on that row to open the adjustment panel.
  3. Choose a reason for the change:
  • Add or remove stock — for routine stock takes or deliveries
  • Record waste — to log spoilage or spillage
  • Set starting stock — to enter an opening balance for a new ingredient
  1. Enter the quantity and an optional note.
  2. Click to save. The On hand figure and Status pill update immediately.

Reorder Points

Each ingredient row shows a Reorder at value — the quantity at which the status switches to Low. To change this threshold, click the action button for the ingredient and open its reorder policy. You can set the Reorder at point, reorder quantity, safety stock, and lead time from there.

Ingredients with auto-ordering enabled display a ⚡ icon next to their name, meaning a purchase order can be triggered automatically when stock drops below the reorder point.

> Tip: If your ingredient list is empty, head to Menus to add ingredients to your menu items — stock tracking begins there.
